RAP Sober Living Grant in Massachusetts + Funding Help

It is our experience that those suffering in active addiction are wonderful people afflicted with a horrible disease. Addiction does not only ravage the lives of those who are actively using, but also the lives of those who love them the most. We believe that structure, support, and community programs are the vessels by which our residents return to the stream of life. The FreedomWorks Reentry & Aftercare program has been helping male ex-offenders reconcile to God, family and community since 2004. We believe in comprehensive, life- long aftercare that transforms violent predators into courageous peacemakers, hardcore criminals into upstanding citizens, and absent fathers into loving dads. Assistance in finding employment, permanent housing, and a support community is offered.

These homes provide residents with a safe environment amongst other individuals fighting a common enemy. Vanderburgh Sober Living (VSL) is a network of independently operated sober homes organized and supported by the Vanderburgh Foundation, a registered 501(c)3 Charitable Foundation. VSL supports and equips operators to strengthen their local communities through effective sober housing. In Massachusetts, sober house certification is managed by the Massachusetts Alliance for Sober Housing (MASH). This model has been successfully used since 1994 in Canada, United Kingdom and the United States. Each circle has a team of 4-6 community members who receive training and support from professionals.
